The sync issues kill it
As others have mentioned, the app itself, alone on a single device is good. But we’re moving into 2016; who uses just one device? An ever dwindling few. When I first got Todo, the syncing worked. I used it with Dropbox. And then that didn’t work. I used it with iCloud…never worked. As much as it chaffed me, I subscribed to their pro service to sync across devices. It worked. But an entire subscription for the sole purpose of holding a single little file? Synching across devices is being done by other apps with a variety of services—but I paid for this app based on the claim that I could use it with my own cloud service, and I don’t want to go pay for another one. To make matters worse, I actually paid for this app AGAIN for an update, hoping it would solve the sync problem. It did not.
So, I’ve now paid for this app twice, and I haven’t even gotten what I was promised the first time. How’s that saying go? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Indeed, I am filled with shame.
